All About DIN (Director Identification Number)

Application for Director Identification Number (DIN) & DSC (digital signature certificate)

Documents required for DIN & Digital Signature Application (DIN Form can be filed only through Digital Signature)

1.	Identity Proof: Copy of PAN Card (Income Tax Permanent Account Number) is mandatory in case of Indian National and in such cases applicant details should be as per Income Tax PAN.	Identity Proof: Copy of Passport (mandatory).

Address Proof: Copy of Passport / Aadhar / Telephone (Utilities) Bill / Electric Bill (not older than 2 Months) duly attested by Practicing Chartered Accountant / Practicing Company Secretary / Practicing Cost Accountant.	Address Proof: Address proof should not be older than 1 year from the date of filing of the eForm.
3.	Passport Size Photograph (latest): 1 photocopy or a soft copy in (LPEG format).	Same

6.	Email Id and Mobile Number	Same

All the documents required Self attestation.
In case, the director residing outside India, the attached supporting documents should be attested by the Consulate of the Indian Embassy, Foreign Public Notary.
In case of foreign director, residing in India at the time of incorporation of the company, supporting documents can also be attested by Company secretary in full time employment/ CEO / Managing director of the Indian company in which he/ she proposed to be a director.
Digital Signature Certificate application form requires the applicant to sign across the photo and all the documents shall be “Self-Attested” and identity proof and address proof should be attested by either a Gazetted officer (class I) or Bank manager or Post Master.
